OUR STORY
From Cul-de-sac to Country
We raised our family in a quaint Ohio cul-de-sac but quickly realized our five active children needed both space and responsibility. We moved out to the country and have never looked back. When we were deciding which livestock to have on our farm, a video clip of alpacas running through a meadow stole our hearts, and we instantly knew this would be our future.

About MIDWAY TO HEAVEN Alpaca Farm
Alpacas
In 2016, we started with a handful of alpacas we acquired from a local farm. They were very gracious in helping us get set up and started, and we fully intend to pass this along to anyone that purchases livestock from our farm. We have been very successful in breeding alpacas that have excellent fiber quality and confirmation. Several of our alpacas have won awards at competitions. In addition, our alpacas are fairly comfortable around people due to years of training at county fairs, where they were run through various obstacles to build their confidence.
Chickens
If you have a farm, chickens are a no-brainer. They eat your scraps, provide you with eggs that have the most beautiful amber yolks, and are literally little dinosaurs that roam the farm and clean out bugs. We have loved seeing them in the pasture, especially when they are followed their own little flock of peeping chicks.
Honeybees
Honeybees have been utterly amazzzzzzing!. From the inception of our farm, we always dreamed of establishing a small apiary. There is nothing more fascinating than watching the micro civilization, with each bee fulfilling its unique responsibility in the hive. The honey we have harvested has been the icing on the cake.

INSPIRING THE NEXT GENERATION
Our farm provides hands-on opportunities for the rising generation to understand livestock care, training, showmanship, production and sales, and community involvement.
